DAY 2 ISTANBUL - CANAKKALE
  • Arrival into Istanbul
  • See the amazing coastal view as we make our way along the shores of the Sea of Maramara 
  • Cross the Dardanelles to Canakkale for the night
  • Picture taking with the iconic Trojan Horse (Waterfront) – Which refers to a wooden horse said to have been used by the Greeks, during the Trojan War, to enter the city of Troy and win the war.

CANAKKALE
DAY 3 CANAKKALE – TROY – PERGAMON – KUSADASI
  • This morning, we will drive to Bergama which is approximately 2 hours of driving
  • Ascend by cable-car (Weather permitting) to the site of ancient Pergamum, renowned in Hellenic and Roman times for its great library and as the medical centre where Galen laid the foundation for medical practice
  • The guide will conduct the walking tour of the ruins of the Acropolis
  • Next, we will continue our drive to the Aegean coastal town of Kusadasi

DAY 4 KUSADASI – SELCUK – PAMUKKALE
  • Start our morning with a trip to the nearby town of Selçuk
  • Visit a famous Leather showroom where you will get to experience a small fashion show showcasing some of Turkey’s finest leather products
  • Walking tour of the marble city of Ancient Ephesus, one of largest and most outstanding archaeological site in existence. Ephesus was an ancient port city whose well-preserved ruins are in modern-day Turkey. The city was once considered the most important Greek city and the most important trading center in the Mediterranean region
  • Visit the House of Virgin Mary, the final resting place of Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ
  • After lunch, we will proceed to Pamukkale – another major attraction of Turkey, well known for its “Cotton Castle”, a cliff of travertine and pools formed by hot calcium laden waters that spring from the earth and cascade over the cliff

DAY 5 PAMUKKALE – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA
  • Tour the travertine and enjoy dipping your feet in the thermal pools.
  • Visit the ancient Roman “spa city” – Hierapolis
  • Depart for Konya, the famous old capital city of the Seljuk Turks
  • Visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, a great philosopher, poet and the father of the Mevlevi Order (Whirling Dervishes)
  • Visit Sultanhani, a prime example of the Seljuk Turkish caravanserai
  • Continue to Cappadocia - “The Land of Beautiful Horses”, a region covered with volcanic lava that eroded over millions of years, sculpting it into one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world

DAY 6 CAPPADOCIA
  • Morning free at leisure to explore Cappadocia
  • You may wish to join an optional hot air balloon ride. A hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia is a special attraction that provides unsurpassed memories for a lifetime
  • After lunch, visit to the Underground Cities – these are amusing and mysterious underground settlements which have existed since the Bronze Age
  • Go on a Jeep Safari experience where you will admire panoramic views and stunning skylines of the Cappadocia region. Drive through beautiful valleys with unique volcanic formations and experience the area from a different perspective

DAY 7 CAPPADOCIA
  • Today we will check in one of the many caves hotels in Cappadocia to experience staying overnight in a cave’s hotel
  • Visit Goreme Valley, a region created from erosion of volcanic rocks with the iconic “Fairy Chimney”
  • Visit Goreme Open Air Museum, a compound of rock cut churches since 6th century
  • Visit Uchisar (an old village) consisting small dwellings carved into huge rock
  • Picture stop and viewing of the Uchisar Castle
  • Visit Turkish carpet showroom, a chance to witness the making of the famous Turkish carpets.
  • Visit Avanos ceramic & pottery showroom, Learn the making of handmade ceramic arts and the chance to hand paint one yourself to keep as souvenirs.
  • After dinner, proceed to cave restaurant for an interesting night of Belly dancing and folklore show

DAY 8 CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA – SAFRANBOLU
  • Today, we will proceed to Ankara – the capital of Turkey
  • Enroute, we will do a picture stop at Lake Tuz (Salt Lake) which is the second largest lake in Turkey
  • Visit Ataturk Mausoleum – The final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - “Father of modern Turkey”
  • Next, we will continue to UNESCO Heritage town – Safranbolu. There are about 1008 monuments of historic interest rooted in this beautiful old town filled with “Ottoman” atmosphere

DAY 9 SAFRANBOLU – ISTANBUL
  • Embark on a city tour of Safranbolu
  • Take a walk up Hıdırlık Tepesi (Hill), where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the old town
  • Continue with walking tour through the old town; see Cinci Inn, Cinci Bath, Arasta Bazaar, Koprulu Mosque and The Sundial Clock, Old Government Building and Clock Tower
  • It’s time to head back to Istanbul, a glorious fusion of the east and west. This popular city offers something for everyone
  • Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the famous Kumpkapi Fish Market

  • Embark on a tour of Sultanahmet district (Old historic Istanbul)
  • Visit Hippodrome, the sporting and social centre of Byzantine life for over 1000 years; where chariot races, court ceremonies, coronations and parades took place. Tour the remains of Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, the Column of Constantine Porphyrogenitus and the Kaiser Wilhelm II Fountain
  • Visit the Basilica Cistern (Yerebatan Sarayi), also known as the “Sunken Palace” which was constructed in 532AD. It is one of the hundreds of ancient cisterns hidden underneath the streets and houses of Istanbul
  • Visit Sultanahmet Mosque, one of the largest religious complex and icon of Istanbul. It is also known as Blue Mosque because of the blue Iznik tiles used to decorate the walls of the interior
  • Picture stop at Hagia Sophia which was constructed by Emperor Justinian as a church in the 6th century, which was converted to a mosque in 1453 and subsequently into a museum by Ataturk
  • Visit Topkapi Palace, which was the main residence and administrative headquarters of the Ottoman Empire between the 15th and 19th centuries, until they built Dolmabahce Palace

  • Enjoy a leisure cruise on the famous Bosphorus River that separates Asia and Europe continent.
  • Alight at Ortakoy which is a popular spot for locals and tourist with its art galleries, night clubs, cafés, bars, and restaurants. Free time to explore this area on your own
  • After lunch, it’s shopping time at the 500 years old Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops. (Closed on Sunday and religious holidays. If the Grand Bazaar is closed, it will be replaced by the Spice Bazaar)
  • Free time at Taksim area, the city’s most popular strolling, shopping, and snacking street.
