DAY 2 LUXOR – HURGHADA

This morning, check out and begin your journey to Hurghada, one of Egypt’s premier Red Sea resorts. Prepare for a desert adventure as you set off in a land cruiser, driving deep into the sands to visit a Bedouin community and learn about their daily life and enduring traditions.

DAY 3 CAIRO

Arrive in Cairo and meet your local representative, then visit the Al Saladin Citadel, a 12th-century hilltop fortress that includes the Alabaster Mosque. Continue through Coptic Cairo with stops at the Coptic Museum and the Hanging Church, one of Egypt’s oldest Christian churches, before checking into your accommodations for the night.

DAY 4 CAIRO – GIZA – CAIRO

Visit the three famed Pyramids of Giza—built over 4,500 years ago by Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—including the Great Pyramid, the oldest and only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. See the Sphinx, a massive lion-bodied, human-headed monument, then enjoy a camel ride with the pyramids as your backdrop. Continue to the Papyrus Institute for a demonstration of traditional papyrus-making, and finish at a local perfume factory known for its fragrances and hand-blown glass bottles.

DAY 5 CAIRO – ASWAN (CRUISE)

This morning, transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Aswan and board your Nile cruise for the next three nights. Begin exploring Aswan with visits to the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, then enjoy a traditional felucca ride past the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Kitchener Island while learning about local sailing traditions. Finish with a boat trip to Agilika Island to see the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

DAY 6 EDFU – LUXOR (CRUISE)

Begin the day with breakfast on board before disembarking at Edfu for a horse-carriage ride through the city. You’ll visit the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved temple in Egypt and a magnificent monument dedicated to the falcon-headed god. The cruise then sails toward the Esna Lock, where you’ll experience the dramatic descent to a lower water level and enjoy some of the Nile’s most beautiful views.

On arrival in Luxor, you’ll explore the East Bank, visiting the iconic Luxor Temple and the vast Temple of Karnak—dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, and renowned as the largest religious complex ever built. Its spectacular Hypostyle Hall, with 134 towering columns, remains the largest room of any religious structure in the world. This evening, return to the cruise for a lively belly-dancing show.

DAY 7 ASWAN – KOM OMBO – EDFU (CRUISE)

The day begins with an early visit to the magnificent Abu Simbel Temple, built over 3,000 years ago by Pharaoh Ramses II and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After returning, enjoy breakfast on board before the Nile cruise sets sail toward Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, a short walk takes you to the Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, offering a vivid glimpse into ancient Egyptian culture. You’ll then return to the ship as it continues toward Edfu. Tonight, enjoy a festive Galabia Party and the chance to wear traditional Egyptian attire.

LUXOR

DAY 8 LUXOR

Enjoy breakfast with a view of the Nile before checking out of the cruise, then continue your journey through Luxor with a visit to the West Bank, the ancient necropolis of Thebes. Explore the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs and nobles of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in magnificent rock-cut tombs. Continue to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the remarkable “Djeser-Djeseru,” a striking testament to the reign of one of Egypt’s most extraordinary rulers. Conclude the morning at the Colossi of Memnon, the two monumental statues of Amenhotep III that have stood watch over the Theban necropolis for more than 3,000 years.

DAY 9 HURGHADA

Today will be a day at leisure for you to explore the Red Sea Resort. You can choose to rest and relax in the beach or poolside or perhaps pick up some optional tours to explore the marine life of Red Sea.

DAY 10 HURGHADA – CAIRO

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo, then continue your journey with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and home to more than 170,000 artefacts that showcase the grandeur of ancient Egypt. Stroll along El Moez Street to admire its remarkable Islamic architecture before exploring the vibrant heart of Islamic Cairo. Here, in the historic Khan el-Khalili bazaar—the oldest market in the Middle East—you can enjoy traditional coffeehouses, sample local street food, and shop for handmade gifts and ornaments.

DAY 11 CAIRO – MEMPHIS – SAKKARA – CAIRO

This morning, depart for Saqqara, the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis, and visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the oldest stone structure in the world, dating back to 2600 BC. Continue to the ancient capital of Memphis to explore its ruins, including the impressive fallen colossus of King Ramses II. Conclude your day at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the first museum of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world, showcasing 50,000 artifacts that trace the story of Egyptian civilization from prehistory to the present. A highlight is the Royal Mummies Hall, where modern interactive technology reveals the hidden secrets beneath their ancient wrappings.
