DAY 3 REYKJAVIK – GOLDEN CIRCLE - SELFOSS

Set out on Iceland’s famous Golden Circle tour, beginning at Thingvellir National Park, where you can clearly see the North Atlantic Rift dividing the North American and European continents within the dramatic Almannagjá Ravine. This historic site is also home to the world’s oldest functioning parliament. Continue to the geothermal Great Geysir area to explore its bubbling mud pools and hot springs, and to witness Strokkur—one of the world’s most active geysers—erupting every few minutes. Conclude your journey at the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall, a powerful two-tiered cascade that plunges 32 meters into a deep canyon and ranks among Iceland’s most beautiful natural wonders.

DAY 4 SELFOSS - VIK

Embark on a curated adventure at the Raufarhólshellir Lava Tunnel, exploring the inner workings of a volcanic eruption from over 5,000 years ago, complete with helmet and headtorch. In winter, the cave is adorned with spectacular ice formations, creating an unforgettable experience. Continue along Iceland’s scenic south coast, marveling at glaciers, black sand beaches, and dramatic rock formations as you journey to Vík, the southernmost village in the country. Stop at Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the cascading water, and visit the majestic Skógafoss with its 60-meter drop. Explore the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, famed for its basalt pillars, before viewing the striking 120-meter Dyrhólaey headland, ending in a natural archway.

DAY 5 VIK –JOKULSARLON – HNAPAVELLIR

Begin the day with a short hike to Svínafellsjökull Glacier, an outlet of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest ice cap, and take in the stunning glacial landscape of jagged blue ice and deep crevasses (round trip approximately 2 km; dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes; hike subject to weather). Continue to the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where you can cruise among towering icebergs calving from Breiðamerkurjökull (cruise operates until mid-November, weather permitting). In winter, visit nearby Diamond Beach, where icebergs polished by the Atlantic Ocean glisten like sparkling gems.

HNAPAVELLIR

DAY 6 HNAPAVELLIR - KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR

Starting from Skaftafell Visitor Centre, we follow a well-marked gravel path to a viewpoint of the Skaftafellsjokull Glacier. The gentle hike is mostly flat with gentle inclines. As we approach the terminus of the glacier, we can see the deep crevasses and moraine ridges created by glacial movement.
*Rought trip is roughly 4km, dress warming and wear sturdy shoes Hike subject to weather permitting.

In the afternoon, make our way to Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon for another gentle hike. A viewing platform provides a spectacular overlook the deep, winding canyon and cascading waterfalls.
*Hike is roughly 2km roundtrip. The canyon is magical in snow but may be icy and slippery. Hike subject to weather permitting.

KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR

DAY 7 KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR – REYKJAVIK

Make our way back to Reykjavik. Meet up with our local guide for a city tour of the charming capital. Learn about early settlers at the Anarholl Statue. Stroll down Laugavegur Main Street, Austurvollur Square, Lake Tjornin and visit the iconic Hallgrimskirkja. Be charmed by colourful street art around the old town.

Relax in the warm, natural active mineral waters of the Blue Lagoon. The geothermal seawater is directed from wells as deep as 2000 meters.
