ITINERARY
SINGAPORE
DAY 1 SINGAPORE - HANEDA
Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to Haneda, one of two international airports serving the Greater Tokyo Area.

DAY 2 HANEDA - WAKKANAI
Upon arrival, meet & greet the local driver guide and transfer start the tour.
• Cape Soya - An area that rewards visitors with two beautiful bodies of water: the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. From this vantage point, eagle-eyed observers can also catch a faint view of Sakhalin Island.
• North Breakwater Dome - Was built when the North Wharf was used as a departure and arrival point for the former Sakhalin route. Intended to protect roads and railroads from the waves because of the strong winds throughout the four seasons, this impressive architectural piece became a symbol of the times as it crowded with people crossing the Sakhalin.

DAY 3 WAKKANAI - RISHIRI ISLAND
Early morning, proceed to Wakkanai Port for the ferry to Rishiri Island. (abt 1h40m)
• Senhoshi Misaki Park - Along the coast, you can enjoy the clear waters of the northernmost part of the island and the magnificent view of Rishiri Fuji. The park is dotted with oddly shaped rocks and stones created by lava flowing into the sea when Mount Rishiri erupted.
• Rishiri Historical Museum - This museum is housed in a historical building repurposed from the former Oniwaki Village Office building constructed in 1913. Exhibits are divided into four sections, each featuring the nature and creatures of Rishiri, the days when indigenous Ainu people lived on the island and called it Ri-sir (Ainu for “island with a high peak”), modern days, and days with thriving herring fishery.
• Kamui Seaside Park - Walk up the slope and along the promenade called Charenka Path for about 20 minutes until you reach the tip of Kamui Cape, where the horizon spreads out before your eyes. Kamui Rock, which is said to be the incarnation of a maiden according to old legends, and other sheer rocks rise below, and the pretty flowers of the Ezo Kanzou flowers add color from June to July.

RISHIRI
DAY 4 RISHIRI ISLAND - REBUN ISLAND
• Sumikai Cape - Located in the northwestern part of Japan's northernmost island - Rebun Island, this is one of the most popular summer attractions in the area. Is a well-known hiking spot in Rebun Town, and the cobalt-blue water with high transparency and beautiful bays, with a view like a southern beach, attracts many tourists from abroad throughout the year.
• Sukoton Cape - The northernmost cape on Rebun Island is the most scenic spot on the island, where the coastal cliffs have been turned into a cape. On clear days, Sakhalin can be seen in the distance, and the Haima Island Lighthouse illuminates the route at night. This is the starting point of the cape tour course.
• Edo-ya Mountain Trail - With many alpine plants blooming along the road, is the first viewpoint after starting from Cape Sukoton. From the “Steller's Island Observatory” located halfway up the trail, you can look out over Cape Sukoton, the starting point of the trail.
Although it is called a “mountain trail,” the Edoya Mountain Trail is paved with asphalt, making it easy to walk, and many sightseeing buses pass by.
After that, proceed to port for the ferry to Rebun Island. (abt 45mins)
• Humenuma Pond - Surrounded by a dense virgin forest, this mysterious human-made swamp has a circumference of approximately 800 meters. It is known for its beautiful reflection of “Rishiri Fuji upside down” on the surface of the lake. The lakeside forest, which is inhabited by wild birds, has a walking path that takes about 20 minutes around the lake, allowing visitors to enjoy a leisurely walk while listening to the chirping of wild birds.
• Nekodai & Mododai - The huge peach-shaped Peach Rock stretches out before you, and you can see Cat Rock in the distance. Known as the Flower Road is a treasure trove of alpine flora, and in 2022, the alpine flora in the Mododai area was designated a national natural monument.

DAY 5 REBUN ISLAND - WAKKANAI - ASAHIKAWA - SOUNKYO
After breakfast, proceed to Rebun Island Port for the ferry to Wakkanai Port. (abt 1h55m)
After lunch, proceed to Wakkanai Station for the limited express train to Asahikawa Station (abt 3h45m)
Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to Sounkyo Hotel.

SOUNKYO
DAY 6 SOUNKYO - LAKE AKAN
• Ginga & Ryusei Falls - These famous waterfalls, which are listed in the 100 Best Waterfalls in Japan & one of the scenic spots in Daisetsuzan National Park. Water in the Ginga-no-taki waterfall tumbles down from a columnar jointed rock face into multiple slim threads, for around 120 meters.
• Kurodake Ropeway - Is a 1984 meter high peak that towers over Sounkyo Onsen in central Hokkaido. Thanks to a ropeway and chair lift, the mountain is one of the most easily accessible major peaks in Daisetsuzan National Park and a popular entry point for hikes into the interior of the national park.
• Lake Akan National Park + Ainu Special Performance (30mins) - This is one of the oldest national parks in Hokkaido. With some of the clearest lakes in the region, natural hot springs, and breathtaking scenery that changes radically with the seasons, there are definitely many outdoor activities for visitors to do, as well as a lot to see.

DAY 7 LAKE AKAN - OBIHIRO
• Kushiro River (Canoe Experience) - is a pristine waterway that flows to the Pacific Ocean from Lake Kussharo, the world’s second-largest caldera lake. Forested wetlands flank this gentle, crystal-clear river, and the area teems with birdlife. A relaxing canoe trip down the Kushiro River provides exceptional views of the beautiful natural environment of Akan-Mashu National Park and an opportunity to spot wildlife.
• Tokachi Millennium Forest - Is home to four gardens that were specifically designed to last for 1,000 years. These gardens were created, in part, by the British Society of Garden Designers, and were designed to take advantage of the lush surrounding nature.
• Kofuku Station (photo stop) - Is a closed railway station from the now defunct Hiroo line. The station originally opened on 1st November 1956, was discontinued in 1987 bringing an end to the station. The name Kofuku (幸福) translates to “happiness” and the station became famous after it was featured on a Japanese NHK TV travel programme which aired in 1973.
• ^Banei Horse Racecourse - Is the only race of its kind in the world. Large draft horses, weighing about 1 ton, race on a separate course in a 200 m straight line while pulling an iron sled that weighs up to 1 ton.

• Shiroi Koibito Park - The park offers a whimsical and enchanting experience for visitors, combining elements of a chocolate factory, a museum, and a recreational area. Stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens, relax in the tea salon while enjoying a cup of tea and sweets, and explore the European-style courtyard adorned with colorful flowers.
• Sapporo Fushimi Inari Shrine - Similar to its well-known cousin to the south, a striking tunnel of red torii gates also decorate the grounds of the Fushimi Inari Shrine in the heart of Sapporo. Known as a power spot in the region, locals and visitors alike gather at the shrine to drink in some of its energy.
