DAY 1 SINGAPOE - BEIJING - XINING

DAY 2 XINING
Stay at 5* Sofitel Xining Hotel or equivalent
Xining, an ancient plateau city with a 2,100-year history, known as the "Southern Route of the Silk Road" and an important railway hub for entering Tibet. Upon arrival in Xining, head to the famous Ta'er Monastery (Kumbum Monastery), one of the six major monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism. It is the birthplace of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, and is renowned for its "Three Arts" of Tibetan embroidery, murals, and butter sculpture.
Xining, an ancient plateau city with a 2,100-year history, known as the "Southern Route of the Silk Road" and an important railway hub for entering Tibet. DAY 3 XINING - QINGHAI
Stay at Qinghai-Tibet Railway, Soft sleeper 4 people per cabin
After breakfast, board the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, highest railway in the world, traveling to Lhasa. Special arrangements include a soft sleeper compartment with four people per cabin. The train will follow the ancient Tang-Tibet Road taken by Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty, traversing the Loess Plateau and the Tibetan Plateau, and crossing the boundary between Han and Tibetan cultures. Pass alongside Qinghai Lake, largest inland saltwater lake in China, as it makes its way to Lhasa in Tibet.
After breakfast, board the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, highest railway in the world, traveling to Lhasa. Special arrangements include a soft sleeper compartment with four people per cabin. DAY 4 QINGHAI RAILWAY – QINGHAI LAKE - LHASA

Spend the entire day traveling to Lhasa on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the highest railway line in the world. Xining – Golmud – Tanggulashan – Amdo – Naqu – Damxung – Lhasa. You will travel along the highest, longest, and most spectacular plateau railway in the world. The route passes by Qinghai Lake, the Kunlun Mountains, the Kekexili region, the Gobi Desert, the source of the Yangtze River, the Tangula Mountains, Cuona Lake, and the Qiangtang Prairie. You will have the chance to view the breathtaking Tibetan plateau scenery and see animals like Tibetan antelope and wild yaks. Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will rest to acclimate to the high-altitude climate. After arriving at the train station, a local guide in Lhasa will greet you with a traditional hada (a ceremonial white scarf) to welcome you to Lhasa.Visit to Lhasa Yaowang Mountain Cliff Carvings + Yaowang Mountain Viewing Platform at your own expenses.

Since the 7th century, it has served as the residence of successive Dalai Lamas and the center of Tibetan political and religious power. Next, head to Jokhang Temple, one of the holiest sites for Tibetan Buddhists, with a history spanning over 1,350 years. Jokhang holds the highest religious status in Tibetan Buddhism. Continue to Barkhor Street, Lhasa's most bustling pedestrian street, where you can browse and shop for a variety of hand-crafted goods filled with ethnic charm and exotic appeal.
A special arrangement includes visiting the mysterious yellow house of Maji Ami, which has gained fame due to the legend that it was once the secret meeting place for the 6th Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso, and his lover.

DAY 6 LHASA -GYANTSE - SHIGATSE

Today we will set off from Lhasa, climbing over the Kambala Snow Mountain with an altitude of 4900 meters to visit the Yamdroktso Lake – it is the world’s highest altitude fresh water lake and also renown as the sacred lake in the sky. Thereafter, along the way we will see an awesome roadside view of the Karola Glacier: One of the three major continental glaciers in Tibet, is the eastern source of the Nyang River. It is situated below the Naimona'nyi Peak and lies at the border of Langkazi and Jiangzi Counties.Gyantse, which is the outdoor filming scene of the “Valley of the Red River” that is surrounding the Yamdroktso Lake. Next, we will visit the Palkor Monastery, which consists of the 3 major Tibetan religion groups in one monastery. It is also well known for its exquisite mural and carvings. We may also see the Zongshan anti-British Ruins from far before we proceed to Shigatse.

DAY 7 SHIGATSE - (Approx. 4hrs) LHASA

After breakfast, we will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the final resting place of Panchen Lama and also one of the 6 major monasteries for Tibetan Yellow Sect. This monastery was built by the first Panchen Lama in 1447 and thereafter became the resident of all the previous Panchen Lama. The world’s tallest Maitreya Buddha statue, which is 28 meters tall, is also enshrined the monastery. We will also see the Stupa-tomb of the Tenth Panchen Lama here. After lunch, pay a visit to local tibetan at your own expenses, return to Lhasa via the Lhasa-Shigatse Expressway.

In the morning, depart from Lhasa and travel along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway, crossing the majestic Nagenla Pass, heading towards the vast Namtso Lake (4,718 meters above sea level), covering an area of 1,920 square kilometers. Known as the highest saltwater lake in the world, Namtso is an awe-inspiring sight with its vast shores, lush vegetation, and crystal-clear waters, resembling a dazzling jewel nestled in the vast Changtang grassland. After exploring the lake, return to Lhasa along the same route, with a distant view of the snow-capped Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain. Experience the magnificent natural scenery of the Tibetan plateau with its boundless grasslands beneath the blue sky and white clouds. In the evening, enjoy a night tour of the Potala Palace Square, where you can feel the grandeur and mystery of this ancient palace. As the night falls, the Potala Palace emanates an indescribable aura of mystery, carrying with it the ancient secrets of Tibetan Buddhism.
Note: In the event that we are unable to visit Namtso Lake due to drastic weather condition, it will be replaced by Derpung Monastery and Past Dalai Lama’s treasured park - Norbulingka Palace.
