Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia and gateway to the country’s vast and rugged wilderness.

After immigration formality, meet up with our local guide and transfer to the hotel. Explore Sukhbaatar Square, the central plaza of Ulaanbaatar dominated by an imposing statue of Damdin Sukhbaatar, a key figure in Mongolia’s independence at leisure. Surrounding the square are significant landmarks like the Government Palace and the National Opera.

DAY 3 ULAANBAATAR
Visit the Gandan Monastery, the spiritual heart of Ulaanbaatar and a sprawling Buddhist complex renowned for its magnificent golden Buddha statue. Visit the vibrant prayer halls where centuries old rituals continue to be practiced amid the hum of chanting monks.
Adjourn to the National Museum which offers a captivating journey through the nation’s history, through a vast collection of artifacts that span from prehistoric times to the era of Genghis Khan. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to engage with locals or discover hidden gems.

DAY 4 ULAANBAATAR – KARAKORUM (approx. 5 hours’ drive)
Head out to Central Mongolia through the rolling steppes. Midway, we stop at the Erdene Khamba Monastery ruins in the mountains of Khugnu Khaan National Park, a testament to Mongolia’s rich history and culture heritage.
Visit the Karakorum Museum located near the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Gain insightful glimpse into the history and culture of Karakorum as we admire artifacts, relics and exhibits that chronicle the rise and fall of tis once great city at the heart of Genghis Khan’s empire in the Orkhon River Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Turtle Stone memorials and the Phallic Stone once marked the boundaries of ancient Karakorum. The Turtle Stones, symbolizing longevity and protection, while the Phallic Stone, believed to ensure fertility and ward off evil spirits, reflects the deep connection between Mongolia's spiritual beliefs and the natural landscape.
Check into a Ger camp (ensuite) for 2 nights. Gers are traditional portable dwellings used by nomads for centuries. These round, felt-covered tents are typically constructed with wooden frames and are designed to be easily dismantled and transported. A Ger camp consists of several Gers arranged in a campsite setting. Ger offers a unique opportunity to experience traditional Mongolian hospitality and immersion in the nomadic way of life. Ger camps vary in size and amenities, but we strive to book Ger with private bathrooms for comfort and convenience for our groups.

DAY 5 KARAKORUM: Erdene Zuu Monastery & Nomadic Family Visit
Drive to the nearby Erdene Zuu Monastery, the oldest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. This spiritual and architectural marvel features ornate temples, relic filled prayer halls and is encircled by a wall of 108 stupas. Participate in the morning chants and explore the open-air relic gallery which showcases artifacts from the 13th century shrine of the Khans.
Next, visit a local nomadic family to experience the traditional lifestyle firsthand. Engage in daily activities, such as cooking a meal, and gain a deep appreciation for the resilience and hospitality inherent in Mongolia's nomadic culture.

These petroglyphs, etched into the rocks of a rugged hillside, depict a variety of scenes, including animals, hunting scenes, and symbolic patterns, offering valuable insights into the lives and beliefs of the early inhabitants of the region.
Continue to the Khongor Sand Dunes, the largest and most stunning dunes in Mongolia, stretching over 200km across the arid Gobi Desert. The three-hour drive to Khongoriin passes through vast desert Badlands, where the landscape stretches endlessly, framed by remote mountain ranges on the horizon.
Along the way, encounter lone Gers and nomads on camelback, seemingly suspended in the shimmering mirages, while the desert floor is scattered with colourful rocks and unusual minerals. This journey showcases the stark beauty of the Gobi at its finest, with plenty of opportunities to stop and photograph the breathtaking landscapes and local life.
Upon reaching the Khongor Sand Dunes, explore these towering natural wonders up close. Enjoy exhilarating climbs to the dune peaks and capture awe-inspiring vistas with the camera. DAY 8 SOUTH GOBI DESERT: Yoliin Am Gorge
Drive to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, Mongolia’s largest, a vast and diverse landscape encompassing rugged mountains, expansive deserts and lush valleys. The park is a sanctuary for a wildlife including the snow leopards, ibex and the rare Gobi bear.
Visit the Yoliin Am Gorge, also known as the Vulture’s Mouth, is a dramatic and narrow canyon nestled in the foothills of the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains. The gorge is famous for its towering cliffs and a river that remains frozen during part of the summer creating a cool, shaded oasis in the heart of the desert. The area is rich in wildlife such as the elusive bearded vulture (Yol) from which the gorge takes its name. Check in to a Ger camp for the night.

Fly back to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival, visit the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, a cultural treasure which served as the winter residence of the last Mongolian emperor. This well-preserved complex, also known as the Green Palace, features a blend of traditional Mongolian and Tibetan architectural styles and houses an impressive collection of religious artifacts, art and personal belongings of the Bodg Khan.
Visit the Zaisan memorial Hill, a prominent monument depicting scenes of friendship and cooperation between Mongolia & the Soviet Union. Take in panoramic views of the capital and the distant mountains from this vantage point.
This evening, enjoy an enchanting showcase of the country’s rich cultural heritage featuring traditional music played on the horsehead fiddle and yatga. Dancers in vibrant costumes and throat singers portray epic tales and spiritual beliefs through their performances.

Drive to the Terelj National Park, a stunning sanctuary known for its dramatic landscapes of granite rock formations, the most distinctive being the Turtle Rock.
Visit the colossal Genghis Khan Statue, the world largest equestrian statue standing 40m high. The statue symbolises the powerful legacy of Genghis Khan as the founder of the Mongol Empire. Take an elevator to the horse’s head for a panoramic view of the surrounding steppe and a closeup of the Khan’s face.
