Spring (March to May)

Day 2.

  • Upon arrival, meet & greet by guide & transfer to Nagasaki.
  • Glover Garden – Is an open-air museum in Nagasaki that exhibits mansions of several of the city’s former foreign residents and related buildings.
  • Nagasaki Peace Park – Is a tranquil space that commemorates the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. The park features the 9.7-meter-high Peace Statue symbolizing the Nagasaki citizens’ wish for peace.
  • Atomic Bomb Museum – Covers the history of this event in the accessible form of a story. It begins with the disastrous scene of the attack and includes the events leading up to the dropping of the atomic bomb, the reconstruction of Nagasaki up to the present day, the history of nuclear weapons development, and the hope for a peaceful world free of nuclear weapons.
  • Mt. Ina & Nagasaki Ropeway – Rising 333 meters above sea level in the center of Nagasaki, Mount Inasa Park in the Inasa mountain range is a natural park beloved by the residents of the city. The summit features a glass-enclosed circular domed lookout from which one can enjoy a 360-degree view of the spectacular scenery.

Day 3.

  • Dolphin Watching – Approximately 200 wild dolphins have settled in the Hayasaki Strait at the southern tip of the Shimabara. On these exciting cruises you can feel the wild dolphins up close, and the site of them freely swimming through the sparkling blue seas will cheer you up and deeply move you. Ferry from Shimabara to Kumamoto.
  • Kumamoto Castle – Is one of the most impressive castles in Japan. With large castle grounds and a variety of buildings, Kumamoto Castle offers its visitors one of the most complete castle experiences in Japan.
  • Suizenji Garden – Is a spacious, Japanese style landscape garden in Kumamoto, best enjoyed by strolling along a circular path.
