Upon arrival, proceed to visit:

  • Shuicheyuan – One of the most distinctive local attractions along the Bai Li Yellow River Scenic Area. The waterwheel, with a long history and unique appearance, originated in the Ming Dynasty and is the oldest irrigation tool along the ancient Yellow River banks in Lanzhou City.
  • The Mother of the Yellow River – It’s a sculpture representing the Yellow River, the mother river of the Chinese nation. Possessing certain artistic value, it was awarded excellence in the first national urban sculpture design competition.
  • Zhongshan Iron Bridge – Also known as the Yellow River Iron Bridge, is the first bridge constructed in the entire Northwest region of China using foreign technology in modern history. Its unique construction background and the era of its construction make the Lanzhou Yellow River Iron Bridge a key subject for researching modern history, holding a distinctive position in China’s architectural history.
