Summer (June to August)
Summer in Greece is hot and dry, with temperatures reaching as high as 35°C or more in some parts of the country. The average temperature ranges from 25°C to 30°C.
Autumn (September to November)
Autumn is another lovely season to visit Greece, with mild temperatures and beautiful foliage. The average temperature ranges from 15°C to 20°C in September and October, but it can drop to 10°C or lower in November.
Winter (December to February)
The winter months in Greece are generally mild, but they can still be quite cold, especially in the northern parts of the country. The average temperature ranges from 5°C to 12°C.
Day 1.
Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to Athens, the birthplace of democracy and the capital of Greece.
Day 2.
Leaving the airport, we transverse the scenic Greek countryside. Stop at the Thermopylae, a narrow pass flanked by mountains and sea strategically important in ancient times. Today, this historical landmark features a monument commemorating the legendary Battle of Thermopylae. The landscape transforms into a spectacle of towering rock formations crowned by the ancient monasteries of Meteora. These gravity-defying structures, perched atop sheer cliffs, offer a glimpse into centuries-old monastic life and panoramic views.
Day 3.
- The name Meteora translates to ‘suspended in the air or ‘in heavens’ and perfectly encapsulate the breathtaking sights these monolithic pillars offer.
- The monasteries stand as testaments to human resilience and spiritual dedication. Initially, the monasteries were accessible only by means of precarious rope ladders or baskets lifted by pulleys, providing safety from invaders and solitude for deep contemplation. (Note: Shoulders and knees must not be exposed when visiting monasteries)
- Drive to Delphi, the navel of the Earth and one of Greece’s most important and interesting archaeological sites.
