Day 1.
Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to Haneda, one of two international airports serving the Greater Tokyo Area.
Day 2.
- Upon arrival, meet & greet by local guide and transfer to Noboribetsu.
- Jigokudani (Hell Valley) – Is a volcanic caldera created by the eruption of Mt. Hiyoriyama and is the largest hot spring source in Noboribetu Onsen. Jigokudani is a suitable name for a place where scalding hot water and powerful jets of steam burst from uncountable hot spring vents and holes, all with a strong, rotten egg-like sulfur smell.
Day 3.
-
Hakodate Onuma Park – Explore this beautiful area dotted with lakes and islets formed by the majestic Mount Komagatake volcano and decorated by the graceful bridges of Japanese traditional landscape gardens. This park is a wonder throughout all four seasons.
-
Goryokaku Tower – is a prominent landmark located in Hakodate. It stands near Goryokaku Park, a historic star-shaped fortress that was originally built in the 19th century. The tower offers panoramic views of Goryokaku Park and the surrounding area, making it a popular tourist attraction.
-
Hakodate Meijikan – The shops within feature a wide variety of local goods, including folk craft, glassware, and music boxes. The shops aren’t necessarily the highlight though, as the buildings that make up this complex are beautifully kept red-brick warehouses, which were originally part of Hokkaido’s first post office built in 1911.
-
Mt. Hakodate Ropeway (night view) – is a 334 meter high, wooded mountain at the southern end of the peninsula on which much of central Hakodate is located. On clear days and nights, in particular, the views from the mountain are spectacular and included among Japan’s three best night views.
