Winter (December – February)

Winter in Iceland is characterized by cold temperatures and snowfall. Average temperatures in Reykjavik, the capital city, during winter months range from -1°C to 3°C. However, temperatures can drop as low as -10°C or even lower in some parts of the country.

Spring (March – May)

Spring in Iceland is a transitional season with temperatures slowly rising. Average temperatures in Reykjavik during spring months range from 0°C to 7°C. However, it’s not uncommon for temperatures to still drop below freezing, and snowfall can still occur in some parts of the country.

Summer (June – August)

Summer in Iceland is mild, with long days and short nights due to the country’s proximity to the Arctic Circle. Average temperatures in Reykjavik during summer months range from 9°C to 13°C, with occasional heatwaves that can push temperatures up to 20°C or higher.

Autumn (September – November)

Autumn in Iceland is characterized by cooler temperatures and shorter days as the country moves towards winter. Average temperatures in Reykjavik during autumn months range from 4°C to 8°C. However, temperatures can drop below freezing at night, and snowfall can start to occur towards the end of autumn. It’s worth noting that Iceland’s weather can be highly variable, and it’s not uncommon to experience all four seasons in a single day. Therefore, visitors to Iceland should be prepared for a wide range of weather conditions, regardless of the time of year.

Day 1. Welcome to a unique experience!

Day 2.

Prepare to unwind after our long flight. Relax in the warm, natural active mineral waters of the Blue Lagoon. The geothermal seawater is directed from wells as deep as 2000 meters (priority entrance, towel, use of bathrobe & slippers, 1 drink, silica mud & algae masks included, please bring swimwear).

Day 3.

  • Visit Iceland’s biggest attraction on our ‘Golden Circle’ Tour.
  • Proceed to the Thingvellir National Park, where the North Atlantic Rift which separates the North American and European continents, can be prominently viewed inside the Almannagja Ravine. This is also where the world’s oldest functioning legislative body, the Icelandic Parliament was established.
  • Drive to the geothermal Great Geysers Area with its many hot springs, mud pools and geysers. Witness the spouting of the Strokkur, the world’s most active geyser which erupts roughly every eight minutes.
  • Continue to the stunning two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall. This great white glacial cascades 32m into a 70m deep canyon and is generally considered one of the most beautiful on the island.
  • Learn about greenhouse horticulture in Iceland at the Fridheimar Greenhouse which cultivates four types of tomatoes. Enjoy the exquisite taste of tomatoes grown using geothermal heating.
  • Visit the stable to visit Icelandic horse known for its diversity of gaits, colour, strength and good spirit.

Day 4.

  • Curated experience: Explore the magnificent Raufarholshellir Lava Tunnel to witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption which occurred over 5000 years ago (include helmet and headtorch). Every winter, spectacular ice sculptures form inside the cave making it an even more breath-taking visit.
  • Drive along the south coast, one of Iceland’s most scenic regions where we will be mesmerised by stunning views of glaciers, black sand coastline and impressive rock formation as we make our way to Vik, the southernmost village in Iceland.
  • Admire the Seljalandsfoss where there is possibility to wander behind the falls. Next, visit the majestic Skogarfoss with its impressive 60 meters drop. Continue to the black sand beach of Reynisfjara where we will see pillars of basalt rock stacks raising from the sea. View the 120m headland of Dyrholaey which ends in an unusual archway.
